William married: Anne Wilkinson, Tuesday January 4th 1820.
William and Anne had issue:
1. Captain Augustus Henry Hartford (1802-1890) who married Mary Catherine Hoops (18??-1873).
Plus 12 other siblings.

William inherited the Grange Estate from his uncle William Hartford who was a merchant.
