Robert Harvey: An Overview

The information I have about Robert Harvey comes from the following sources:

1. Registers from the church of St Mary the Virgin, Beachamwell.  In particular his memorial on the outside wall of the church.

The inscription on the memorial reads:

Near this place are the remains of Robert Harvey Senior of Hilboro Gent [Hilborough, Norfolk] who died September 1740 aged 76 years. And John Harvey of Caldecot [Caldecote, Norfolk] Gent, Eldest Son of the above.  Who died October 30th 1742, Aged 53 years.  Also Ellen wife of the said John Harvey.  Who died November 14th  1742, aged 47 years.  And Robert youngest son of the Aforesaid John and Ellen Harvey.  Late of Stoke Ferry in Norfolk, Surgeon:  Who died February 28th 1754, Aged 28 years.

Other than the above we do not really know very much about Robert.  One thing to note is that there was another Robert Harvey living at Stoke Ferry at this time and he was a wealthy grocer.

If anyone can add more information about Robert Harvey I would be very pleased to hear from you.
