Portrait of Henry Helsham by Jacques-Gabriel Huquier

Drawn in pastel by the Frenchman Jacques-Gabriel Huquier (1725-1805).  Jacques came to England around 1770 and exhibited a number of portraits in pastel at the Royal Academy from 1771 to 1796.  It is assumed that he worked in London but he is also recorded as being in Bath in 1780 and Cambridge in 1783 and in Shrewsbury where he died in 1805.
