In 1888 Arthur's brother Henry took on the name Helsham changing his surname from Jones to Helsham-Jones. However Arthur appears to have been using the name Helsham-Jones as early as 1881. This name is very distinctive and notes pop up from time to time providing information about the Helsham-Jones family. Some of these notes are as follows:
In the1881 census Arthur Helsham-Jones was living at Ticton Hall, between Tickton and Hull Bridge, Humberside, with his wife Alice, and three of his daughters Dorothy, Margaret and Helen. He is recorded as being a Bank Manager and having 7 servants living in the house.
In the 1911 census Arthur Helsham-Jones was living at The Tile Barn, Woolton Hill, Newbury, with his wife Alice, and two of his daughters Dorothy and Helen. He is recorded as being a Barrister at Law and having 8 servants living in the house. His house has 27 rooms.
There is a record on the internet of the Pinner Cricket Club renting grounds at Pinner Green from Mr Helsham-Jones in 1892.

The will of Arthur's brother Henry is dated 1914 and was witnessed by Arthur and Alice who were both living at Tile Barn, Woolton Hill, Newbury. They appear to have lived at Tile Barn from around 1904 up until they died.
Pinner Hill was originally bought in 1844 by Alice's great-grandfather William Tooke, then 65, as a family home for his son Arthur. When Arthur died in 1871 it passed to his son, another William, born 1843. But William himself died without issue at the early age of 43, and presumably his only sister Alice then inherited, probably allowing Arthur to give up the bank he seems to have been working in at Hull, and become a country squire.
Arthur Helsham-Jones seems to have been friendly with his near neighbour W S Gilbert of Gilbert & Sullivan fame, who lived at Grim's Dyke about a mile away (now a hotel). When Gilbert drowned in his own lake in May 1911, he left in his will his photographic equipment to Arthur Helsham-Jones.
Helen Helsham-Jones, unmarried daughter of Arthur Helsham Jones, who was also living at Tile Barn, died in 1919.
Arthur is buried at St Thomas Church, Woolton Hill, Newbury. His daughter Helen died in the same year 1919 and is buried in the same grave. Arthur's wife Alice died 10 years later in 1929 and is buried next to them. The family nanny Sarah Jane Boreham (d. 1936) is also buried there.
Alice Harriett Elizabeth Helsham Jones is recorded as dying 8 May 1929. She left £8779 and £25615. Her executers were Maj Gen Frederick Crofton Heath-Caldwell, William Ronald Collins and Dorothy Mashiter.
