List of the Linley Wood Estate: 1913
The following information is taken from a document archived in the Stafford Record Office (4229/?/?) "Linley Wood & Derby Estates, Particulars of Provisional Valuation, 20 December 1913". This list was drawn up after the death of Miss Elisa Lousia Marsh-Caldwell (8 July,1818 - 29 March, 1913) and was presumably used as a basis to establish the value of death duties to be paid on the estate by Maj Gen Frederick Crofton Heath-Caldwell. It is an interesting list as it not only documents the various pieces of land which made up the estate at the time but also lists the various tenants.
